Kristin JonesProject Coordinator

Kristin has been working with DiversiPro off and on since 2010, working on conference production, while pursuing higher education. She has an Honours BA from the University of Guelph in Criminal Justice and Public Policy, and is currently completing a master’s degree in Canadian & Indigenous Studies at the University of Trent before her PhD begins in January of 2022. She has spent time working in Northern Alberta in and with Indigenous communities working on numerous community building initiatives. Volunteering and contributing to whatever community she lives in remains a priority for Kristin. From time dedicated to a friendship centre, being on the board of Girls Inc Northern Alberta, to the Unsheltered Campaign, to National Aboriginal Day event support, to numerous political campaigns since 2006, she finds a way to put time in for her community. She grew up in working class suburbs of Toronto, has lived in Waterloo Ontario, Fort McMurray Alberta, and is now living in Peterborough while attending school and working part time at DiversiPro as a special projects coordinator.
